Greetings fellow mariners. This question came from a recent discussion on passage planning, Enjoy.

You are delivering a boat from Falmouth to Dartmouth. You need to fuel up, you have checked your passage plan and see that it is 66.6nm to your destination. You know that at your cruising speed of 12 kts you will use 20 lit of fuel an hr. You have worked out that there is a tidal current advantage of 2.6 kts for the duration of your journey. What is the fuel requirement you will put in your passage plan?

My thoughts next week.
